Before she got booked for alleged murder, Priyanka Chopra's cousin, Meera Chopra was a familiar face in Tollywood. Better known as Nila, the 27-year-old actress was born in Delhi and did her bachelors from the US. She started her career from an advertising firm and later even worked for NDTV. But soon the girl got film offers from south. Her first movie was Anbe Aaruyire, released in the year 2007, which was a big Telugu hit. Then the actress did many Tamil films too.
Recently, the south Indian sex siren was in news for losing her role as lead actress opposite Vivek Oberoi in Soham Shah's film Sher co-starring Sanjay Dutt. The reason given to her being Vivek did not want to work with someone who is friends with his arch rival Salman Khan.

About a year back, we heard news that Priyanka Chopra's another cousin would soon be making a foray into films. Now comes the confirmed news that Meera Chopra will be seen making her debut in Vikram Bhatt's third installment of the 1920 franchise.
Initially though, the film was
supposed to feature Prachi Desai, however the actress opted out of the project citing date issues. This came post the SC ruling that sent the schedules of the Sanjay Dutt starrer Policegiri in a tizzy. Prachi's sudden departure from the project prompted the makers to rope in Meera for the said role.
The film which is scheduled to go on floor in May is co-written by Vikram and debutant Sukhmani Sadana and will be directed by yet another debutant Tinu Suresh Desai.
