Actress Priyanka Chopra, who loves to experiment with various characters in the movies, is now all set to play a Bengali woman is her upcoming movie Gunday. Piggy Chops had earlier portrayed the role of a Bengali girl in the film Barfi. According to Priyanka Chopra, Bengali girls are bold and beautiful, and she is very happy to play a bong characters in the films. "My character is a Bengali girl, she is called Nandita. We must not talk so much about the film right now. We are very very far from release. It is just just the beginning. This is one of our first few schedules. Slowly once we are done with the film, we will unfold a lot more about it," Priyanka Chopra told IANS. The movie Gunday also features Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor in lead roles and is all set to release this year. As per reports, Arjun and Ranveer will be playing the roles of gangsters in the film. Arjun and Ranveer has been undergoing a lot of physical training to fit their respective roles.

Mumbai: Even as controversy raged over Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik asking India to provide security to superstar Shahrukh Khan in the wake of his reported remarks, actress Priyanka Chopra feels that celebrities are becoming a "soft target". "I believe people often use celebrities to advance their propagandas... Celebrities have become a soft target nowadays," Priyanka told reporters at an event where she unveiled the video of her single "In My City". The actress was reacting to the controversy involving Shahrukh Khan over his remarks, which he reportedly made in an interview, that "he has sometimes become the inadvertent object of political leaders who choose to make him a symbol of all that they think is wrong and unpatriotic about Muslims in India". Shahrukh's remarks prompted Malik to ask Indian government to provide security to the actor. "Media should not get trapped in such situations and aim at telling the truth," she said. To a query whether she would have encountered more controversies had her title being 'Khan', the visibly miffed actress retorted, saying, "I think I get into controversies with 'Chopra' surname too. A big deal is being made out of nothing. You should be ashamed to even ask such a question in a country as secular as India."

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, who recently released the video of her first music single, 'In My City', said she wanted the world to see what Bollywood is. "I wanted to give it an Indian flavour in terms of dancing. I wanted the world to see what Bollywood is all about," Priyanka told reporters at the unveiling of the single 'In My City'. "I wanted that the identity of the song should be Indian. I am very India-proud. When people see my video, they must feel that Bollywood is like this," she said. Talking about her style, she said it's a fusion and amalgamation which will be enjoyed in west and India. "I showed the video to my dad first. He is not well and has been in the hospital for a while now. He really liked it, specially the namaste which I do," she said. Priyanka also revealed she would like to sing for her own films. "This is just the beginning. I am waiting for the entire album to come out," she said.
