Priyanka Chopra was reared up in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. However she also spent few years in Rae Barreilly, UP. She studied few years in La Martiniere Girls’ school. In the USA, she completed schooling. She studied in a number of schools in USA like Newton's Newton North High School and Cedar Rapid's John F. Kennedy High School. Later Miss Priyanka Chopra came back to India and she studied in Jai Hind College.

She loves acting, dancing and music. Besides her parents, she has a younger brother. Her nickname is Sunshine. Her first film is Hero (2002). She has acted in more than 25 Bollywood movies. She also lent her voice as a playback singer in Barsaat. Her popular movies are Andaaz, Aitraaz, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and The Hero. She also won Miss World in line with Dia Mirza and Lara Dutta in 2002.
