Actress Priyanka Chopra and her team will help to bring back the body of Jiban Patra to India, from Los Angeles. Patra, who is reportedly Priyanka's assistant, is said to have died of a suspected heart attack in Los Angeles a week ago. His body is kept in a mortuary as there were no funds to send it back to India. However, the official spokesperson of Priyanka has issued a statement, "All details and financial requirements related to the repatriation was and is being handled directly by Ms Chopra and her team in LA." "This is a very unfortunate and unexpected situation. Our deepest condolences go out to Mr Patra's family. Our aim throughout was to ensure that Mr Patra's remains were brought back to his family at the very earliest. Owing to the situation that this occurred in a foreign country, where no family member was present, there was multiple levels of paperwork and processes that had to be followed to ensure that the matter was handled effectively and in a timely manner." "Owing to some delays in paperwork from the family's end, the repatriation of the body was delayed. Ms Chopra also delayed her return to India to ensure that everything was in place for Mr Patra's remains to be repatriated to India," said the statement further. The spokesperson stated that they are in "constant touch with the family".

Now, the Apoorva Lakhia directed film has once again made it to the headlines for a wrong reason. This time, it is for the case filed by original writers duo Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, who have alleged copyright infringement. Toofan is a remake of Amitabh Bachchan's 1973 film Zanjeer, which is simultaneously remade in Telugu and Hindi. Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, who had written the script for Amitabh for the original movie, had spoken about the issue a year ago. When the producers of the movie failed to respond to their reaction, the writers duo has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court to stall its release. In their petition filed at the Bombay High Court, Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar have claimed that Amit Mehra has not taken their permission to remake the film Zanjeer. They have requested the Court to ban the release of both versions - Telugu and Tamil. However, the Court is yet to take a decision on it. It should be recalled here that producer Amit Mehra's brothers Sumeet and Puneet had obtained a stay order against the trailer launch of Zanjeer and Toofan as Amit did not settle the entire money for the remake rights of the flick. But the Court has dismissed the case, favouring Amit Mehra. Now, it should be seen what decision the Bombay High Court would deliver in this case.
